My Profile

What is it in life that brings contentment, fulfillment and a sense of happiness? This question has fascinated me my whole life, but there is no single answer. We are all different, our happiness comes in different forms. And yet it is possible to help one another. This belief, grown out of personal experience, was the reason I trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist. We are all experts in our own lives, and with professionally qualified help, we can overcome our difficulties and make steps towards the more fulfilled life we are seeking. This is the basis of my practice as counsellor.

My Approach - Integrative Counselling

Every person is a unique individual shaped by birth and their experiences throughout childhood. How we adapt to the circumstances of our lives in work, relationships and family life is itself unique. Integrative counselling seeks to recognise this uniquenes by bringing together elements from different schools of therapy to provide an intervention that is best suited to the difficulty you are experiencing. Please contact me to arrange an initial consultation where we can discuss the difficulties you are experiencing and whether integrative counselling would be right for you.

Integrative Counselling

Integrative counselling combines elements from a number of different therapeutic approaches to provide a therapy matched to the needs of the individual client.

Person-Centred Counselling

A process of self-healing and discovery where the individual learns through self-acceptance to strengthen their competences and grow in self-confidence

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT seeks to identify and change the patterns of unhelpful thoughts and behaviours that in turn create our emotional world and our sense of wellbeing.

Relationship Counselling

Satisfying, loving relationships are central to wellbeing, yet often our most important relationships lack the sharing and emotional intimacy we need.

Personal Development / Growth

How can we discover that deeper sense of joy and fulfillment that many of us seek in the later stages of life. Through self-awareness and self-knowledge we begin to see the barriers

Holistic Approach

Working with the whole individual to develop a deeper understanding of themselves on all levels
